Our interests are railroads, and our venues are riding them throughout the Western United States. We are members of Santa Fe, Southern Pacific, Union Pacific and other RR families; those who like model railroading; and everyone who loves riding railroads, their history and romance. In 2010 we ventured to Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, and Oregon, and in 2011 to Nevada, California and Arizona. In 2008 we did the reenactment of the driving of the Golden Spike at Promontory Summit, Utah. All in all it is a fun filled Chapter.

What a busy time we had in Carson City with the super planning of Dan and Patty Chance. All three days were fun-filled with not even an hour for a nap,. From the day we arrived at the Gold Dust Casino RV Parking area we were busy, some repairing their rigs, some socializ-ing, and a business meeting led by Conductor Tom.
The next day started early with a light breakfast then we carpooled the short distance to Mills Park to ride the 24‖ gauge open air train. Then a delicious lunch, trip to the Nevada No. RR museum and a ride on the 1926 Edwards Streetcar. Our crew even helped turn the car around on the turn table. We finished the day at Reds Old 395 Grill with a scrumptious dinner.
Sunday we again carpooled to the V&T East Gate RR Depot to ride up to Virginia City. We laughed at the hilarious Out House Races with entries like The Flapper Crapper, and The Urinator –a tribute to Arnold. We were again stuffed by the time we left the Red Dog Saloon.
THEN we ate again at the OleOle at the Casino. Who says Golden Spikers do not know where to find good food?
